Welcome to the Australian School of Business! The ASB has over 220 academic staff and 80 general staff working within eight disciplinary Schools. There are approximately 8,000 students in the Australian School of Business, across undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs.
The Education Development Unit (EDU), along with the Australian School of Business Human Resources, has developed a staff induction program for all new academic staff, to compliment the programs and activities at University level, which are run by the Staff Development and the UNSW Learning and Teaching Unit.
In addition to the new staff induction program, the EDU offers many activities, resources and support mechanisms for ASB staff. If you haven't already done so, please come and introduce yourself to the EDU staff and familiarise yourself with the resources and support available to academic staff.
As a new member of staff, you should have already met with your Head of School/Unit as well as Leigh Skene , the Australian School of Business Human Resources Officer. If in doubt of the things that you need to do in order to get 'set up' as a staff member at the Australian School of Business, please refer to the Checklist for New Staff.
The New Staff Induction Program includes a New Staff Information Manual and a half day Induction Workshop.
The Australian School of Business Research Office also conducts a session for new academic staff and the EDU offers a tutor training program for all new tutors in the Australian School of Business. |
